I felt surprised that upon arrival not so many customers in the cafe though Vanilla Cafeteria at Emquartier through years earned its own reputation. This contradict to the lousy and trendy ROAST, which served American style brunch downstair, and were always full of eaters and there were somes spent their time on the waiting seats. Vanilla here at the Emporium Emquartier mall looks humble, retro-ish. Definitely, their significant design still reminds me the time I spent at the Vanilla Garden, hidden in the corner of Ekkamai street almost two years ago. In deed, Vanilla nowadays deliveres a better and more sophisticated menu, concentrating on healthy trend. - The salmon salad dish I ordered is such a vivid and rainbow style salad, protein was a must with slice of salmon, salmon eggs, egg white and eggyolks scrambled seperatedly. The dressing added enough acidity to the dish while the caviar topped off the dish bring the salty and deep balance on the otherside. Even the slices of wholegrain breads had a crunchy and softy feeling excellently paired with small amount of sour cream. In manner of beverages, though iced macchiato was quite averages, the thai milk tea ice blended with brown sugar on top and a slight note of orange made itself delicious and joyful to drink. - You should remember that BKK is fulltime summer so drinks like that could help alot after a long walk around the mall looking for end year sale items.
